TO THE HOST...

Welcome — This Page Is for You.
Everything shared here comes from hands-on experience—hosting hundreds of home party games and refining what works through real-world trial and error.

Below you'll find:
• How To Host A Beginner's Game Video
• Invitation Page For Your Guests
• Player Bank Craps For Beginners
• Chip Management Link (Very Important)

• True Odds - Explainer Video

• Reviews: Excerpts On Beginner Games

Whether you’re brand new to craps or a seasoned player teaching friends or family,
this page is here to make hosting newbees easy—and fun.

It explains why a True Odds home party craps game works so well and why beginners learn best in small steps.

As shown in the beginners’ rules video, new players start with just the Pass Line and True Odds Place Bets. Everything else is temporarily set aside so players can relax, follow the flow, and enjoy the basic game.

“We want ’em drinkin’, not thinkin’.”

As comfort builds, curiosity naturally brings in the other bets.

True Odds Craps keeps the game simple for beginners and first-time dealers.
There are only three sets of odds (payoffs), and the bets are easy to recognize and pay.

True Odds Payoffs
• Points 4 & 10 pay 2 to 1 (double the bet)
• Points 5 & 9 pay 3 to 2 (bet plus half)
• Points 6 & 8 pay even money for first-time players

That's it! -
The Pass Line and Place Bets are the two most popular bets on the modern day craps games. Fortunes and won and lost on these two main bets. First time players can pick this simple game up in just minutes.

This KISS structure eliminates fractional payouts and complicated calculations.
True Odds also uses fewer physical chips by simplifying payouts and avoiding complicated bet structures. The table stays cleaner and the game moves faster. Beginners learn quickly!

This simplicity means:
• Each player deals one hand per round
• You’re not stuck dealing all night
• You get to play along with everyone else
• Place bets are easy to pay
• Prop bets are easy to pay
(when introduced on future visits)

And yes — this is totally manageable, even with a cocktail or three or whatever!  :)

To make hosting even easier, there’s a separate Invitation Page designed specifically for your guests. It explains the rules in a short video, sets expectations, and prepares everyone before they arrive—so you don’t have to teach everything at the table.

Simply text crapsmat.com/party-invitation to your guests with a date and time. When they show up, everyone’s ready—and the night starts where it should: with laughter, dice, and a great time.

The video below for the game host will need to be updated when I find some extra time because the introduction to True Odds game rules was on this page before I designed a separate page for your invited guests.

Review excerpts:
At first I wasn't interested in hosting a party game let alone playing TRUE ODDS. I gave it a shot, and let me tell you, it was so much fun for everyone. Watching my dad and grandfather deal craps was the best of times!
Steve, Provo UT

The Introduction to craps with only the pass line and place bets offered is the best way to teach craps to newbies. I was impressed watching friends who had no clue about this game actually dealing it in no time.
Dale, Oxnard CA

As an experienced craps player teaching beginners, I can say—this is hands down the best way to learn the game. Simple, fun, and actually sticks.
Andy, Denver CO

This setup is super fun. We tried the true odds way to play you advertise and let me tell you something, I have hosted four game nights where everyone takes a turn dealing and it was absolutely good times.
Mark and Lisa, Tampa FL
